Kwa heri ya kuonana (goodbye til we see u again!)
After much preparation, prayer and anticipation we are finally on our way to Uganda! It’s difficult to describe all that our family is thinking and feeling right now, but one thing is sure, we are very excited to reunite with our friends who we haven’t seen for over three years! It’s definitely time for us as a family to spend the summer in a place that we will soon call home.\n\nWe have been preparing Luke through small language lessons and telling him how some things in Africa will be different. He has the answers down, now we will wait for the reaction! He adjusts to change rather well and we are hoping that this transition will be good for him.\n\nEden will take her first steps in Africa this summer! At 14.5 months she is gaining some spunk in her personality but she definitely prefers crawling over the freedom she will soon find in being on her feet! Her favorite foods are fruit, rice and beans so she will do great in Africa!\n\nAdam and I each have our own responsibilities this summer. I will focus on children’s education and Adam will stay busy facilitating our Africa team, building and organizing logistics. We expect to learn a lot of Swahili and Luganda this summer as we will be living with our Kenyan friends and immersing ourselves into the prominent language in Uganda. Many updates to come! Please be praying for us. There is much that the Lord has planned for us this summer and we are thankful to partner with him as we head to Uganda!\n\nIsaiah 40:31
