Ready for Pizza, cupcakes, balloons, and some tears??? Happy birthday lil Luke!  It’s hard to believe but Luke is ONE!!! So many milestones have passed and hundreds are in front of our lil guy!  Luker had a lil cupcake on his highchair with a candle lit and all attention was on him.  His eyes were wide as he heard all of us sing for him and he was definitely interested in the little flame of fire!  Unlike most kids his age…Luke wasn’t too interested in the cake…when it got on his lil fingers he started waving them up and down in his attempt to clean them off!  “Mmm, this cake is tasty…but I think that I like Pizza better!” (Luke’s thoughts interpreted by mom) And the party hats, well they weren’t a hit at all – Luke’s first reaction was frustration and tears as he tried to tear the hat from his head.   After Adam settled him down and forgetting he had the hat on he saw his lil friend Asher and the tears started again – it seems that he didn’t want anyone to wear the ‘scary’ party hat!   Soooo funny!

Luke isn’t walking yet, but he sure was going for it on his birthday!  His lil feet just seem to move too fast causing him to tumble forward after 4 or 5 steps!  With his arms reaching up for the sky he is making the attempt…but crawling is still more his style these days☺

Adam and I had a fun night celebrating Luke – the highlights for our lil guy were definitely the balloons from Gramps (Adam’s Dad) and playing with all of his friends.  Though I did find him off in the corner a few times playing by him self!  In the midst of all of the company the birthday boy needed some space I suppose!
